"[Man] now stands erect, with his face toward the light. He has learned to see the insatiable, devouring, devastating nature of property, and he is preparing to strike the monster dead...Anarchism, then, really stands for the liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from the shackles and restraint of government. Anarchism stands for a social order based on the free grouping of individuals for the purpose of producing real social wealth; an order that will guarantee to every human being free access to the earth and full enjoyment of the necessities of life..."

X-factor
Throughout independent sports possessing pervasive extreme elements, there exists a trend to constantly re define the sport, pushing past un-precedented radness. Currently in skiing and snowboarding the doublecork is prime, skateboarding had the 900 and figure skaters are about to wall-ride the plexi-glass
Sure these sports wouldn't be where they are today without the insatiable progression of tricks and styles but some core aspects shouldn't be neglected. I think this is a nice season for a resurrection of iron cross hand over the head 720's, screamin seamens, straight skis, and the essential backscractcher....

TSR
The days of yore. Bullshit nostalgia, or an honest to goodness better time. Probably neither. There are certain things to leave buried in the past, never again to catch the glance of the fleeting sea horse,
such as this post. Dusty beyond relief among those zombie penises is a band I have long since stopped caring about. After a New (tidal) Wave of dog shit and marketability came crashing down the azureus pipe to me in 2007, a band representing all music played loud and hard every night relinquished its post at the forefront of rage and broedom. The click wheel putters past that stick in the mud, only to remember the good times when another band still possessing heart and soul has me screaming until I'm coughing up blood. I can hear the rhetoric echo now. Who cares if they suck now, that doesn't mean shit for the old stuff. Ahh yes, but when called upon in genuine mosh to calm down from the chief of punk action, you can't help but feel like you've been lied to. Led on, only to find out later that the mustache was glued on, and the condom already used. Against Me! has released music from a time when it seems like both of us cared. The Original Cowboy, the first recording of The Eternal Cowboy, a mere 22 minutes in length over 8-ish tracks. A punk cacophony signaling songs of as little as 1 minute and change in length. Drums that thud, and a singer and guitars that bleed. Exhale a sigh of weariness or rejoice in arms. No matter what occurred in the past, there is no arguing. This shit rules.

Travis's intervention
Hey guys, its me again. I was doing a google experiment to see how L4do.blogspot.com is living up in the blogosphere. Turns out we aren't getting much hype. Other than a comment made by L4DO on hipsterrunnoff, Offacliff's newschoolers.com profile, and a strange comment found on an rss feed of all blog posts made everyday, there isn't much. Oh but I did come across this especially disturbing profile on last.fm. Based off of your recently listened to tracks and artists library, I (speaking on the rest of l4do.blogspot.com) feel that you are listing to too much Are Eh Pee. Stay Punk. Like these guys....
To a guy worth blogging about.
I am going to grow my hair out so I can look like Shane McConkey did in the early nineties. That guys my hero!

Go climate change legislation!
Hope you guys have written your senators about strengthening the Kerry Boxer bill and the Waxman Markey bill. The emissions reductions targets are pretty futile and only pertain to large CO2 emitters and they don't even compare to targets set at Kyoto seven years ago by the rest of the world. Also, these bill allow for coal industries to prevail with some marginal costs of abatement or permit trading. The two bills being discussed now do include a cap and trade system and some investment in smarter electrical grid technologies that will allow for renewable energy sources to be more effective which is pretty rad but overall the bills will come up short in mitigating carbon levels to those which scientists of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change deem appropriate.

Jib your heart out.
I've looked on ebay and am about to cruise every major craiglist site from the east coast. Christmas is around the corner and I want some. Some history on the skis.
